Dear Friends,
The Vernal Equinox is almost upon us here in Australia. As the days lengthen and the temperature warms, the tangible presence of Spring fills our senses. Tomorrow, September 23rd, we will experience the perfect balance of equal day/equal night, bringing with it an invitation to emerge from winter’s darkness into the light of Spring with a burst of creative energy and a renewed sense of purpose.
Like the Earth itself, we too go through natural cycles. Sometimes it can be difficult to pull oneself up from the depths of inner retreat to become productive again. I suspect many of you reading this may be experiencing just that on this Equinox, given the long period of enforced lockdown you may have endured.
Sacred ritual can be of great assistance as we move through these natural cycles of light and dark. Our ancient ancestors built great monuments, stone circles and temples to honour the Equinoxes and the Solstices in ceremonial manner. We too can harness the influx of celestial energies to help strengthen our connection to the Divine Source of All That Is. Even when circumstances seem beyond our control, the upcoming Equinox presents us with an opportunity to tap into to the limitless energy of the Universe and fill ourselves to the brim once more, with pure Life Force.
