Lia Scallon B.A.MOD DIP.ED
When Irish-born Lia Scallon graduated from Trinity College Dublin, she became an actress and in time, shared the stage and screen with the likes of Liam Neeson, Cate Blanchett, Glen Close and Frances Mc Dormand.
In more recent years, Lia’s creative talents have taken her on a very different journey! While seeking answers to some of her own health problems, a new path began to emerge in tandem with her acting career. Lia found herself led into the realm of Spirit. As she experienced and studied many and various healing modalities, her own unique gift of channelled song revealed itself. This newly discovered gift of song soon became her true passion and eventually, it became clear that ‘The Sounds of Sirius’ were to be used, not only for her own self-healing, but for the healing and comfort of others too.
In 2002 Lia released the first of her eight ‘Sounds of Sirius’ CDs. These recordings are musical meditations that provide a healing balm for the soul. Like much classical and sacred music, Lia’s melodies induce an immediate sense of deep calm and peacefulness. These totally unique vocal harmonics - which are accompanied by a beautiful Language of Light - have the ability to touch the listener in a profound way. The Adyar Bookshop described the CDs as, “rapturous invitations to meditation and contemplation and utterly unique”. Conscious Living magazine wrote, “There is magic in Lia’s voice that transcends the barriers of time and culture”. And Living Now magazine said, “ This music uplifts and thrills me. Lia's stunning voice is imbued by her obvious spirituality”.
‘The Sounds of Sirius’ CDs are a therapy in their own right. Each one of the seven titles in the series offers a beautiful healing gift from Spirit, which is received by the listener in a very individual and personal way. Many therapists who use the Sounds of Sirius CDs in conjunction with their own work, find that these sacred harmonics add a profound dimension to the healing session by bringing the client into a much deeper space of receptivity.
People may respond to ‘The Sounds of Sirius’ in a variety of ways. Many listeners experience deep physical relaxation. Some will also experience emotional release, while others have spiritual or visionary insights. The consciousness is awoken at a level that is appropriate for the person receiving the sounds. Deep levels of the soul can be reached by these sacred melodies, which allows healing to take place.
Life is an unfolding journey and we find our purpose through the living of it. Each one of us experiences life as a complex mix of love, joy, fulfillment and happiness, counterbalanced by moments of conflict, disappointment and challenge. Nothing we do is worthless. Every challenge we encounter presents us with an opportunity for growth and becomes an integral part of that great jigsaw – the Grand Plan of our soul’s journey.
Lia sees her acting career, her previous health issues and all of the other threads of her life to date, as preparation for her becoming the vehicle of the healing music she has the privilege to access now. It is her sincere hope that, as you listen to ‘The Sounds of Sirius’ CDs, you too will gain an increased understanding of your own life’s journey, while at the same time, feeling nurtured and healed in a special way.
