Dear Friends,

It has been quite some time since I wrote, and so much has happened - for you, as well as for me, I’m sure! We are on a ‘crash’ learning course it seems, and there is little time to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off, from the impact of one huge learning curve, before the next episode, sweeps us up in its current! It is both exciting and challenging, on many fronts. Sometimes the change is so rapid that it can feel overwhelming. It is certainly never boring!

One of the seemingly simple, but profound truths, presenting itself to me recently, is that of being true to the essence of oneself. It is so easy to be affected by other people – by their opinions, their needs, their energy. To be able to hold one’s own ‘centre’, with strength and conviction, despite the expectations, behaviour, or disapproval of others, can be very difficult for many of us. This ties in with many important issues that confront every human being – self esteem, self worth, self love, and the, sometimes desperate, need for approbation. Until we can stand strong, in of every aspect of our own being, and are able to remain unaffected by the energy of those around us, and until we can achieve ‘detachment’ from the outcome – whether that be related to a person, situation or thing – true peace will elude us.

Here is a humorous but rather astute take on the subject!

You must learn that you cannot be loved by all people….

You can be the finest apple in the world, ripe, juicy, sweet, succulent,
and offer your  friendship to all.
But you must remember, that there will be people who do not like apples.

You must understand that if you are the world’s finest apple,
and someone you love, does not like apples,
you then have the choice of becoming a banana.

You must be warned that if you choose to become a banana,
you may be a second rate banana.
But you will always be the finest apple.

You must also realize, that if you choose to be a second rate banana,
there will be people who do not like bananas.

Furthermore you can spend the rest of your life
trying to become the best banana –
which is impossible if you are an apple –
or you can seek again to be the finest apple.

The choice is always yours.

SoulQuest Journey to Mexico

When I last wrote, I was just about to head off to Mexico with author and channel, Patricia Cori, on her SoulQuest journey, to the Land of the Crystal Skulls. It is now four months after the event, and I still find it hard to speak about all that happened there. We were a group of some 27 people, from ten different parts of the world, but we very quickly, became life-long brothers and sisters. We had the privilege to be guided through the extraordinary temple sites of the Yucatan Pennisula, by Miguel Angel Vergara who is an expert on the Mayan culture and a truly spiritual man.

The Yucatan Pennisula is the home of the Mayan people. One of the first things that Miguel told us, the evening before we started the tour, at Chichen Itza, was that the word ‘Maya’ means “Chosen Ones”. The other term used is Mayab, which means ‘The Land of the Chosen Ones’. Mayan legend has it  that, after the fall of Atlantis, the survivors dispersed to three separate locations – Egypt, Peru and the Yucatan Pennisula.

Not long after our tour began, we all felt that we were the Chosen Ones, in this particular moment in time. There can be no doubt, that the events which ensued, made a lasting impression on all of us and we believe, reverberated and continue to reverberate out, throughout the globe.

It began with the guidance Patricia received, before leaving Rome for Mexico. She was ‘told’ that while we were in Mexico, the group was to do a ceremony with 13 crystal skulls, at the temple complex of Palenque and so, she assembled thirteen modern ‘replica’ skulls for that purpose. For those who have not heard about the Crystal Skulls, here is a very brief synopsis :-

It is believed that, thirteen crystal skulls, of apparently ancient origin, have been found or are yet to be found, in parts of Mexico, Central America and South America. It is one of the most fascinating subjects of 20th Century archaeology. 

The skulls discovered to date, were found near the ancient ruins of Mayan and Aztec civilizations, with some evidence, linking the skulls with past civilization in Peru. They are a mystery as profound as the Pyramids of Egypt, the Nazca Lines of Peru, or Stonehenge. Some of the skulls are believed to be between 5,000 and 36,000 years old.

Many indigenous people speak of their remarkable magical and healing properties, but nobody really knows where they came from or what they were used for.  Much research is currently being done on the skulls. However, their origin is still a baffling mystery. They seem to defy logic. Everything that is known about lapidary work, indicates that the skulls should have been shattered fractured, or fallen apart when carved. It would appear, that they could not possibly have been carved, by any human hand.

Some believe that the ancient Crystal Skulls, are the computers of the ancients – that they contain important information, to help humanity pass through its current series of challenges, and take us into a Golden Age.

We thought, that the thirteen skull ceremony we were about to do at Paleque, with our modern replicas, was to be symbolic of the thirteen ancient crystal skulls. Mayan legend states that, when all thirteen skulls come together, humanity will be ready to make the Grand Shift. As the Mayan Calender ends in December 2012, many feel that the time is at hand, for this meeting of the skulls, if mankind is to survive this major shift in consciousness. Our ceremony, was to call in the energy of the thirteen Ancient Skulls, in preparation for the time of their real gathering.

What transpired for us in the Yucatan, was an extraordinary series of events, which would take to long to relate in a newsletter. Suffice it to say that, our group came in contact with one of the, until then unknown, Ancient Crystal Skulls. So, instead of doing a symbolic ceremony that was a mere representation of the original skulls, our thirteen skulls, sat beside this Ancient Skull, at our ceremonies in Paleque.

Kajun, the young Majan shaman who is custodian of The Skull, told us that our individual skulls have now received the codings and knowledge, held within of the Ancient Skull. He told us that we should carry these skulls wherever we go, as they now hold the ancient wisdom of the Mayans. He told us that the Ancient Skull we had met, would soon be spoken of throughout the world. There will be a lot of interest in it and it will become very important to humanity.

My own personal meeting with The Skull, is something I find almost impossible to put into words. The energy pulsating through my body and the altered state of consciousness I experienced spontaneously, when I held it, cannot be expressed easily. The pure love that emanated from this amazing being, left me in a state of awe.

There were many more extraordinary experiences, throughout the tour. One of these was the light phenomena that occurred in many of our photographs. The blue orbs that appeared in a number of photos, which I took, are not the most dramatic examples. Pedro, from Panama, has golden tetrahedrons and other spectacular coloured Light, throughout most of his video footage and still shots.

Meditation Evening with Mayan Crystal Skull

I am most fortunate to now be the custodian of one of the thirteen crystal skulls, that were part of the ceremonies at Palenque, and the other temple sites. It is my intention to bring my skull to other people, so that they, through it, may be given the codings of the Ancient Mayan Skull.

Just before I left Mexico, during a meditation with the skull, it gave me its name – ‘Jomcata Mayab’. I thought that perhaps there might be a specific meaning for this, in the Mayan language, and so I asked Miguel if it meant anything. The name means ‘The Source of Light, in the land of the Chosen Ones’. Isn’t that beautiful? click here for images of Jomcata Mayab

My new ‘Sounds of Sirius’ CD

The other most exciting thing that has happened in my life since coming back from Mexico, is the recording of my new CD! I recorded it in Sydney just a few weeks ago and am currently working on the mix. I am hoping it will be ready for release, by the time the Melbourne Mind Body Spirit Festival, comes around. I knew, before Christmas that I would be recording soon, but the guidance I received was very clear – I was not to go into the studio until after I had been to Mexico. Now I know why!! My belief is that the codings and energy of the Atlantis Crystal Skull, will be carried within this recording, through my voice, which is why I am really excited about it. My own skull, ‘Jomcata Mayab’, was present, as a focal point, in the studio, throughout the recording. Watch this space, as they say….!!
